This 2-channel bi-directional level translator is used to convert two logic levels. It is useful for facilitating communication between devices operating at 3.3 V and 5 V devices.

Most often it is used to communicate SPI / I 2 C or UART between a micro controller (5V) and a Bluetooth module or gyroscope/accelerometer operating at 3.3 V.
