Overview
DHT22 is a high-performance temperature and humidity sensor, ensuring high reliability and excellent stability.
It uses a capacitive humidity sensor to measure the relative humidity and a negative temperature coefficient thermistor (NTC) to measure the temperature. Those sensing elements are pre-calibrated and the output is provided as a digital signal. Data can be read once every 2 seconds.

Bought it to experiment with ESP8266 home automation. Got it working in about 10 minutes. Shows same reading as my home thermostat.
Great upgrade to the DHT11
I was using DHT11 modules previously, and then i figured i would try the DHT22's. i like the DHT22's better. they seems a little more accurate, and some issues with the DHT11's have been corrected.
Gets the job done.
Accurate sensor works with Raspberry Pi given the right drivers
