A seven-segment display is a set of seven bar-shaped LED (Light-emitting diode) or LCD (Liquid crystal display) elements arranged to form a squared-off 8figure. Seven segments display are commonly used in digital clocks.
It can emit light under low voltage and small current drive.
Super easy to use with Raspberry Pi
Works very well. Took 30 seconds to install and configure in the Raspberry after soldering the pins to the board to connect the 4 pins to the Pi.
Great display, very bright.
This one is much brighter than others that I tried. This makes them totally usable for outdoor applications where display might be in direct sunlight.
