Overview


The HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor is one of the most popular and easy to use distance sensors. It is compatible with Arduino, and it has some advantages over the analog distance sensors: it needs only digital I/O pins, it has higher noise immunity and better precision.

This module has stable performance and accurate distance measurement. It is comparable to foreign ultrasonic ranging modules such as SRF05 and SRF02 . The high precision of the module, the ultra-close blind zone (2cm), and the stable ranging are the powerful basis for this product to successfully enter the market! This module is fully compatible with GH-311 anti-theft module.

Note: Do not plugin the sensor while the circuit is powered. This can lead to damage or slight performance degradation.

Note: The TRIP pin is an internal pull-up 10K resistor. Use the IO port of the microcontroller to pull the TRIP pin low, and then give a pulse signal of more than 10us.

The OUT pin is the switch output pin when the module is used as an anti-theft module, and the ranging module does not need this pin!

This module can provide ranging programs: C51, PIC18F877 , Yilong MCU, three kinds of MCU test reference.


Working Principle of URF04 Module

(1) Use IO to trigger the ranging and give a high level signal of at least 10us;

(2) The module automatically sends 8 40khz square waves and automatically detects whether there is a signal return;

(3) There is a signal return, a high level is output through IO, and the duration of the high level is the time from the ultrasonic wave to the return.

Test distance = (high level time * speed of sound (340M/S))/2;

The use of this product is simple, a control port sends a high level above 10US , and you can wait for the high level output at the receiving port. Once there is an output, you can start the timer to count, and you can read it when the port becomes low. The value of the timer, at this time, is the time of this ranging to calculate the distance. Such continuous periodic measurement can reach the value of your mobile measurement.

The working principle of the module:

(1) Use IO to trigger the ranging and give a high level signal of at least 10us;

(2) The module automatically sends 8 40khz square waves and automatically detects whether there is a signal return;

(3) There is a signal return, a high level is output through IO, and the duration of the high level is the time from emission to return of ultrasound. Test distance = (high level time * speed of sound (340M/S))/2;

This module can provide a full set of ranging programs: C51 , PIC18F877, ultrasonic LCD1602 display, ultrasonic LCD12864 display, digital tube display, serial port display, etc., distance measurement reference program.
