I've been wanting to get one of these for quite awhile. This is a nice rugged setup and I'm sure it'll last a long time.

Great product

The build quality far surpassed my expectations. The clamps, bars, and hinges are all made of metal and the magnifying glass is clear. The base is heavier, so you don’t have to worry about the stand tipping over. I recommend this as an add-on item for your soldering kit, or any other intricate project that may need a closer look.

Now I can solder without burning the tips of my fingers off! Should've done this years ago. The build quality exceeded my expectations for something priced this low, as did the flexibility of the tool. It held 8 AWG wire just fine while I soldered a fuse holder onto it, and worked just as well with 20 AWG wire while I was working on my home theater system. If you solder at all, you need this.

I should have bought this long ago!

Just what I needed for soldering a header on to a Raspberry PI Zero W to add a DMR Hotspot. This gadget was perfect- I could see my work and use both hands!

Valuable Tool

This is a most helpful little tool. I was concerned at first to put it together correctly but it came together easily and has stayed together despite a couple of drops. The light is bright and lights up what you are working on.

Heavy base and joints hold firmly

This instrument is a lot more sturdy than I thought it would be. It's quite heavy, which makes it very stable, and the alligator clips are quite strong. I've used it a few times now holding items to be soldered and so far I am very pleased with this purchase.
