Holds cells quite firmly - actually difficult to remove cells once they are firmly loaded in! Soldering to tabs on bottom was quite easy, and the plastic did not melt with normal soldering - which was quite surprising. Overall, excellent product for a very reasonable price.

The battery connections are very solid. Could be used for high current. The tabs take solder well.
